2. Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

While you are here, you should also check out the breathtaking 14,000 sq. ft. garden that is transformed by a team of 140 horticulturists. 3.Venice at the Venetian

Experience a little piece of Italy as you stroll along The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Luxury Resort. Watch the Gondolas, eat gelato on the piazza, have lunch at a waterfront cafe’, and cross the bridges- just like in Venice. Enjoy the daily performances and rotating roster of classically trained opera singers, actors and musicians in St. Mark’s Square. Set to a soundtrack of The Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart and Indian tabla star Zakir Hussain, Mirage’s Volcano erupts nightly at the entrance of the casino, Sunday-Thursday 8PM and 9PM, Friday-Sunday 8PM, 9PM, and 10PM. You can feel your heart pounding in your chest as this Vegas volcano begins to rumble; escalating to explosions of “lava”, fireballs, flames and steam.

5.See the Circus at Circus Circus

See the world’s largest permanent circus for free! Stop by the Circus-Circus hotel and casino  on the Strip for daily shows  featuring death-defying acts by talented performers from around the world. You can find cheap hotel rooms  at Circus Circus starting at about $75 per night.

6.Flamingo Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel

7.Check out the World’s Largest Gold Nugget

The Hand Of Faith is the world’s largest golden nugget weighing in at a whopping 61 pounds. You can see it as well as a large collection of Alaskan gold nuggets at the Golden Nugget Casino.

8. Silverton’s Saltwater Aquarium and Bass Pro

Interact with “real” mermaids and see over 4,000 tropical fish in the 117,000 gallon aquarium at Silverton Hotel and Casino. If you are more of an outdoorsy person, you will want to check out the flagship mega-store Bass Pro Shop at Silverton. Here, you can enjoy the trout filled river, aquarium and wildlife displays. If you have fishing, hunting, or boating questions, be sure to attend one of their many “Outdoor World” seminars and demos.

9.Photo-ops Galore for the Gram-

While there are many more opportunities for amazing photos in Vegas, here is a list of some of the most popular ones.Take your picture with some cold, hard cash at Binion’s. One million dollars, to be exact. That’s a lot of dough.Enjoy views of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel. See beautiful light shows at the Eiffel Tower every half hour from sunset to midnight. You can purchase tickets and ascend to the top of the tower for a breath-taking 360 degree view of the city.

Take a step back in time to ancient Egypt at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. 

See a replica of the Great Sphinx of Giza and a 333 ft. high pyramid. While you are here, check out the Luxor Sky Beam- the strongest beam of light in the world at 42.3 billion candela!

When in Vegas, it’s a must-do photo-op to snap a pic in front of the world-famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign located on the South end of Las Vegas Boulevard. There is even a free lot for parking if it is too busy to just pull over.

10.Sunset Stampede at Sam’s Town

The enchanted atrium of Mystic Falls Park at Sam’s Town comes alive with animatronic animals and babbling brooks. The free daily Sunset Stampede laser light and fountain show will take you back to the bygone days of the wild west.

11.Be a TV Critic

Be a part of the CBS decision making process for potential new television shows by viewing and rating pilots and shows needing reviews. Located in the MGM Grand Hotel Casino, all you have to do is just  pick up your free tickets in front of the research center or at the entrance to the parking garage.

12.Harrah’s Piano Bar

There are Elvis impersonators, but none quite like BIG ELVIS found at Harrah’s Piano Bar. This is the longest running Elvis tribute show in Las Vegas and is free but there is a 2 drink minimum at the bar. You can also enjoy Karaoke, interactive shows, and dueling pianos. 13.Feel at Home in The Backyard at Gold Spike

This casual setting has all the appeal of an outdoor barbecue complete with lawn games and fire pits. Have fun playing games such as Jenga, beer pong, chess, shuffleboard, corn hole, ping pong and more.

If you are a fan of the hit TV reality show, “Pawn Stars”, you will definitely want to stop in and peruse the shop and be on the lookout for your favorite guys: Rick, Big Hoss, and Chumlee.

15.Hoover Dam

Just a half hour’s drive from the Las Vegas Strip is one of the Man Made Wonders of the World, the Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam and its accompanying ByPass Bridge were built in the 1930’s during the Great Depression and are architectural marvels. The breathtaking views are free but guided tours of the dam and powerplant do require a ticket purchase.

16.First Friday Fun in the Art District

Get the down home feel of local Las Vegas. Every first Friday of the month, the Downtown Art District block party features live music, visual and performing arts, street vendors, and a guaranteed festive time! It’s a great place to pick up some souvenirs and support local artists.

17.Fremont Street

Fremont Street is the penultimate spot for people watching in downtown Las Vegas. There are options for shopping and dining and even ziplining on Fremont Street. Look up and be awed by over 12 million lights and a state-of-the-art sound system that displays themed light shows  across the 1,500-foot-long ceiling. 18.Banger Brewing Brewery Tour

Escape the desert heat and cool off with a free tour at Banger Brewing in downtown Las Vegas.The craft beer at this local microbrewery is delicious and doesn’t disappoint. Tours are free but are limited to persons ages 21+ and 6 people per tour. Be sure to reserve your tour in advance.

19.Anderson Dairy

Anderson Dairy is a great option if you are looking for things to do with kids. Visitors can enjoy a barnyard tour of a dairy processing plant. The animatronic animals and farm scenery teach kids and adults the history of Las Vegas dairy farming. Advance scheduling is required for the free tours.

20.Red Rock Canyon

A half hour drive from the Las Vegas Strip gets you to Red Rock Canyon. Enjoy the beauty of the incredible desert colors and panoramic views unique to the area. Take a hike along one (or more) of the 26 marked hiking trails with varying degrees of difficulty to suit your ability.

21.Chocolate Paradise- 3 options to get your chocolate fix.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with a free visit to M&M’s World or Hershey’s Chocolate World on the Strip or venture out about a half hour to Henderson, Nevada to visit the famous Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Botanical Cactus Garden.

M&M World, located on the south end of the strip, is a 4-story chocolate delight. Each floor offers different themes and activities. Create your own personalized M&M candies or browse the fun collectables and merchandise.

At Hershey’s Chocolate World you can experience over 800 types of Hershey’s chocolates and candies. You don’t want to miss out the opportunity to see an 800-pound Statue of Liberty created completely in chocolate.

Tour the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Botanical Cactus Garden  8:30-4:30 Monday through Thursday. The self-guided tours allow you the chance to see chocolatiers and machines turning out delicious chocolatey perfection. The Botanical Cactus Garden is one of the largest of its kind with over 300 species of drought-loving flowering plants.

22.Pinball Hall of Fame

Be a pinball wizard at the Pinball Hall of Fame. This museum displays the world’s largest pinball collection open to the public. Find your favorite pinball machines from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. Reminisce youthful days spent in the arcade and play. There is no cover for the museum itself, but fees to play the machines range from .25 – $1 per game.

23.Carroll Shelby Museum and Factory

The Carroll Shelby museum at the Heritage Center at Shelby America should be on every car enthusiasts list of things to do. The museum is packed with a legendary collection of performance vehicles that is sure to get your blood pumping. Tours to the museum and production facility are free.
